This subscription is a total of 7 bouquets. Pickup is every other week.
Each bouquet is harvested from the farm, crafted by hand, wrapped and tied and is an abundant snapshot of what is growing in the field at that moment. You will experience the field as it changes through the growing season.
Subscriptions typically start late June or in July. This season we will be working hard to get flowers out early so that everyone - the gardens included can take weeks off in August - when people are traveling and worn out from smoke and heat. More details on exact start date and associated info will be emailed as the season approaches.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS? The business of farming means that there can be crop failures, unforeseen weather events, pests - like deer and mice (UGH!!) and other unpredictable variables that affect the flowers. A bouquet subscription, just like a vegetable subscription, means that you get the bounty from the farm in real time. Whatever is going strong and coming on will be in your bouquet. If there are major crop failures I do my best to connect to other growers but sometimes you just might not see specific blooms because they failed that year. It is truly a unique experience every year and each year means there are flowers that don't make it and surprising bumper crops. It is a beautiful experience no matter what but there is always the possibility that a week could be missed due to something unpreventable. It hasn't happened yet but its always a possibility.
HOW DO YOU GET YOUR FLOWERS? Pick up your flower subscription on farm, 6130 East Jamieson Rd, Spokane - day and time for the season is still to be decided. There has always been a downtown pickup location and in order to maintain that location, a minimum of 15 subscriptions must be going to the drop spot. Please send a note with your order or email me if you prefer on farm or downtown pickup. Final details for downtown pickup location will be announced as we get closer to start of the season.
WHAT IF I NEED TO MISS A WEEK? If you aren't able to pickup your subscription, arrange for a friend or family member to pick up for you. You can also request that your flowers be donated to one of the organizations that Snapdragon Flower Farm collaborates with.
Skipped flowers will not be added on at the end of the season.
